This summer house is inspired in part by farm complexes of northern
coastal Wisconsin. Three structures house living spaces, bedrooms, and
bathrooms respectively. The division of this small program (1200
square feet) into three distinct structures establishes a reassuring
community of buildings on this remote 13 acre site overlooking Lake
Michigan. Accordingly, this design is as much about spaces between
buildings as it is about the buildings themselves.
