This Bloomington couple have wanted to remodel their dark original 1980s kitchen for a long time. The cabinets and appliances were worn out and the layout wasn’t working either. They were impressed how designers Matt and Tricia patiently listened to their needs, really got to know their tastes and style, were attentive to details, and offered new ideas to consider. “As a result, all the decisions that had to be made came easily and we were given nice direction through the entire design process,” according to one of the homeowners.

The new layout design is more functional with a huge center island that can be used for cooking and allowing people to sit and eat too. The wood floor was lightened and granite countertops, glass tile, and more lighting were added to brighten the room. The craftsmanship of the European style cabinets features some with frosted glass fronts, inside lighting, pull-out drawers and cherry coloring plus a pair of hinged lift-up doors near the desk area. Stainless steel appliances including an induction stove top and double oven make cooking a treat for the owners.

The kitchen transformation created some very happy owners. “We love the red cabinetry that Tricia boldly suggested plus the built-in flat screen TV!”
