This West Loop project demonstrated that any Chicago roof can be turned into an outdoor oasis. After completing necessary repairs on the exterior of the home, the design process led to a total integration of the space using low-maintenance composite decking. Built-in planters flanked double sliding glass doors leading to the interior. Industrial style lighting gave a slight nod to the gritty history of the West Loop neighborhood while pod-shaped chairs provided a comfortable seating area.
