Located in Wicker Park, this project is a prime example of how to create a beautiful and functional backyard in Chicago on a budget. Starting from a plain dirt foundation, the space checked off everything on the client’s wish list, including room for the family to enjoy and customized seating for hosting summer gatherings with friends. A pop of color in the dining area added whimsy while a variety of planted trees incorporated a touch of the natural world against an urban backdrop. Strategic lighting overhead and around the border of the backyard worked together to create a festive atmosphere in the evening.
