2D-Private-Fire-Ventura
This 2D imaging project – created for contractor Jon Cotham at Healthy Eco Home and Jon Cotham Construction & Environmental – has a backyard privacy challenge, in addition to a “choices” challenge.
The customer, whose home is described as, “a 1928 Ventura Spanish-style house, with a clay tile roof, white stucco, and palm trees,” wanted a secluded fire gathering area that was screened off from the neighbor’s window. Problem is what kind of fire feature and at what budget?
First, we created private Houzz Ideabooks to capture potential photo ideas for a “low cost,” “medium cost,” and “higher cost” fire oriented options.
Next, the decision was made to show:
1) A Belgard Highland, smooth-top fire pit.
2) A Low-Height fireplace and seating wall showing a Napoleon Galaxy GSS48 fireplace.
3) A tall backyard fireplace based on a photo by SK Complete Landscaping only in stucco.
(For the patio pavers, we’re using a Belgard Sierra, Cambridge Cobble, Herringbone pattern, Autumn Blend color.)
The resulting 2D “after” images will help the homeowner pick the ideal option.
