This bathroom just needed a simple update. At the top of the list: get rid of the existing water-jet tub and replace with a free-standing that would be easier to get in and out of. The challenge: keeping the existing floor tile. The client did not want to replace the vanity or risk damaging the granite counter top. Cutting around existing tile is very tricky, and has a 50/50 chance of working or not. In this case, it worked perfectly and we were able to find tile to blend well in color and height creating an "area rug" of tile. The next thing was to re-configure the shower by expanding the opening and getting rid of that nasty header! Complimenting the existing tile with light greys and whites did just the trick. Chrome accents were used to keep a classic, elegant feel.
