Magma was hired to revamp the entire landscape surrounding the primary residence, guest cottage, and pool house on this property. Careful considerations were made to maintain expansive views to Narragansett Bay from both the front and back of the residence. Our goal was to entice our client into the landscape both visually and physically while connecting each element of the property to a centralized gathering space. A curvy bluestone walkway, the first hardscape component that guests experience, connects the parking court to the front door of the residence. We designed and installed a lawn terrace and linear patio at the rear of the house which is connected to each wing of the residence, cottage, and pool house via gravel footpaths. New native mixed plantings adorn the entire property. Grading and drainage were carefully designed and installed to ensure the sustainability of the hardscape and landscape.
