Coved Addition
We were contracted to remove a 1970’s family room that had been grafted onto a classic 1920’s house and replace it with an architecturally appropriate addition. Coved ceilings and rich mahogany casework were a prominent feature in most of the rooms on the main floor. The homeowners wanted to replicate this detail in the addition. The second challenge was to bring access to a bonus bedroom that the owner’s currently had to walk outside and up a couple of steps to enter. This connection was accomplished with a passageway that acts as a mini-library to the home with built-in seating.
