The design concept was to have large slabs and concrete pieces with a ‘Just Out of The Mold’ patina and the minimum of processing. ‘Artfully Imperfect’ would be a good way to describe the finish. The base sections were cast in three right angles molds using glass reinforced concrete. The flat sections were cast as 1" thick tiles and mounted to the wall using construction adhesive. The top piece measures 9'x5' and weighs over 400 pounds.
