This is a decorative concrete overlay applied to an existing concrete floor. The technique we use creates a 'Venetian Plaster' style finish to the floor. It is completed entirely by hand and is totally unique.
After preparing the floor a cement based Thinfinish coating is applied. A finer Microfinish coating is then troweled down using a steel trowel, very tight to the surface. After a light sanding a second layer of Microfinish is applied using a slightly lighter color.
The next stage is to lightly sand the floor and coat it with a protective sealer. In this case we used two coats of a water based epoxy.
