The log siding that we ordered from Michigan came with these corners to make the addition look like it was constructed out of real hand hewn logs.

A close up of the stone accent wall. Two niche's with blue stone backs and sills were added to add some depth and design to the wall. The masons even made a rod iron hook for the homeowner to hang wreathes on.

The interior of the addition. More log siding on the wall to complete the log cabin feel. Knotty pine 1x8 on the ceiling and natural ash from Wisconsin on the floors. All the trim was clear pine stained to match the existing interior trim of the home.

We removed the existing kitchen window and cased to to act as a pass through to the new family room. The homeowner had a stained glass window saved from a relatives row home in the city that she wanted to repurpose in the addition, so we ordered some barn door hardware and created this.

The existing exterior logs needed to be painted an accent color, since the existing stain would not match the interior. Along with the kitchen window we removed and the existing slider, both got turned into cased openings.
