We painted it with Rustoleum in a dark gray, then found the right knob in our local hardware store.

And by " the right knob," I'm not kidding. This was the perfect find. Don't settle for any old piece of hardware. Be patient! This was so worth the search.

The purple frame now surrounds existing artwork. This gave a little more personality to the wall!

Look at the leather welting on this updated wingback chair. Nice touch! A little orange velvet lumbar pillow livens things up. Small details add up to create a personal space.

I dragged a very old bench out of the attic and sprayed it with Rustoleum in a gloss white enamel finish. It's an amazing finish. Only the back was painted because I love the combination of the shiny paint and natural wood.

The gray fabric and trim belongs to the drapery panels framing the window. I went to the bargain counter at the fabric store and found the red and gold pattern--they coordinate nicely together! It looks great as a cushion on the bench.
