A desk in the kitchen is an invitation to clutter. And look at how even a counter depth fridge looks like the Incredible Hulk!

There was nothing really "wrong" with this kitchen. It was warm and sweet. However, the 30" cabinets with fixed shelves made it hard to store everything and the blind corner cabinets--both upper and lower, meant every now and then I would have to literally climb in to find stuff!

A close up of the plugmold installed under the cabinets. Plugmold is a wonderful way to eliminate outlet covers on the tiled backsplash. It can also include light switches if the homeowner desires. We are crazy for plugmold.

Neutral cabinetry allowed us to use any accent color our little hearts desired--and it was orange! It's a fresh color in a kitchen and adds warmth to the space.

A stationary roman shade works so well on the window over the kitchen sink. It doesn't block the view and lets in every drop of light. It also polishes up that area of the kitchen. I think it's the only floral fabric in this whole house! A feminine touch for a homeowner who prefers clean lines...
