An oddly shaped townhouse courtyard with several feet of grade change presented some interesting design questions. The client's requirement for minimum maintenance was met with steel, gravel, and artificial turf. Fastigiate live oaks provide screening while a couple of coralbark maples will liven up the space with fall leaf color and red winter bark.
