The homeowner is a custom woodworker, and wanted to be able to open her wood shop in the garage up to the garden for light and air. (The car lives in a carport!) A broken old driveway was removed and new pads to create a space for relaxing and entertaining as well as working. A forest of ratty shrubs was removed, opening up the view to the tiny yard and a little coffee patio that catches the winter sun.
