Shelly, of Elle M. Photography requested I guide her in selecting wall, trim and fireplace colors, furniture, lighting, window treatment and accessories for her new studio. Knowing she favored shades of white, gray and pink, we chose white for the wood trim, fireplace and art gallery frames (IKEA) and gray, lamp black CW-695 by Benjamin Moore on all the walls with an eggshell finish. To add a pretty touch with some drama, we chose a beautiful chandelier. To maximize the natural light streaming in through the windows, we decided on drapes on the larger window.
My favorite activity was choosing accent decor for the studio. We used soft blue-green for the clean, modern bones of the studio for accent pieces. Our shopping excursion and selections came from Home Goods, ZGallery, Crate and Barrel. The sexy sofa is from Tiffany Design.
Eye-catching photographs above the fireplace and on the walls are examples of Shelly's excellent photography and, much to her delight, created sales orders.
