After we created a design plan for the kitchen, family room, entry, and living room in their house, this couple decided to utilize our services when they began making plans to build their dream home. While working with the architectural drawings from their builder, we were able to assist in making some key decisions that would need to be addressed during construction, such as whether or not to have wood floors run throughout the kitchen/great room, or to put carpet in the great room per the builder’s drawings as well as providing guidance on the fireplace and built-ins that are the focal point in the great room.

By getting involved in the design process prior to the start of construction, we were also able to assist with surface selections and placement and create a design plan for the kithchen/great room, and the entry. Included in the design plan were options for all of the following: initial drawings to show furniture placement options, furniture and window treatment selections including custom fabric options, area rugs, lighting, and accessories. Once the options were presented, we helped the clients make final decisions and finished the project by bringing accessories such as pillows, throws, and artwork and placed them in together with some of the clients’ own to create personal look that will stand the test of time.
