This project was one of our favorites. It was a limit pushing project where we designed a contemporary chevron patio paired with a large fireplace surround as well as a pool and curved pergola that included storage for their egg cooker. Before the project, the owners called their front landscape "the jungle" because it was so overgrown from when the property was rented. The mission was to design an environment that would befit the dramatic new portico and bridge the area between the entry and the forward projecting garage. The client particularly wanted a pleasant place where she could sip morning coffee with her mom and supervise her toddler on the nearby play set.
