The homeowners felt the current deck structure, built 20 years ago, was not holding up and didn’t match the scale and style of the home. When they are outside, they like to play in the grass, have fires, and relax and enjoy the view of the lake. They also wanted a space to be able to host friends more often. The challenge of this project was to rework the existing footprint and recapture all the lost space underneath the deck to give protected entertaining spaces.
