Felt series
The Felt Series, available as a bench or stool / side table, features a plush seating surface made of layers of premium natural merino wool felt. The stack is held together by STACKLAB’s signature plated-steel clamping hardware.
The felt stack mixes colored and grey layers. An interstitial bronze brace (or two, depending on the height of the stack) identical in thickness to a felt layer, stiffens the stack to prevent racking.
The felt stack is available in quarter-height (18 layers), half-height (48 layers) and full-height (80 layers) versions. The amount of leg exposed varies in inverse proportion to the height of the felt stack.
Each Felt Series stool and side table is supplied with an ergonomic, driver that aids in tightening or releasing the felt clamping hardware. The driver’s clear rubber-coated tip fits into the slot atop the clamping fastener, making it easy to reorder or tighten the felt layers.
To minimize cutting waste, felt layers are sourced from an online database of available offcuts and end-of-bolt material.
