STACKLAB custom cabinetry pulls are made by pouring molten iron into an open-face sand mould, then letting the iron cool naturally in the open air. This process gives the pull its distinctive mottled, moonscape-like patina. The iron settles slightly differently with each casting, giving each piece a unique fingerprint. The pull’s flaring maximizes the flat top surface to show off the unusual texture to best advantage.

Pulls exemplifies STACKLAB’s continuing interest in creating objects with a didactic mission: objects whose appearance tells the viewer something about how they were made.
