Fire pit sitting areas

A fire pit or fire table can make a sitting area a destination, a focal point or a secret hideout. The fire can be plumbed in with gas and ready with the turn of a key or can be powered by a propane tank tucked under a side table. Either way, your evening can extend comfortably until it's time for bed!
The style can be rustic to feel like you're camping with back yard conveniences or traditional with a stone floor as an extension of your dining patio. You can sit low to the ground in Adirondack style chairs with cup holders or in soft, cushioned swivel chairs where you can eat dinner on a wide fire pit border. The key to feeling the heat is keeping the flames lower than 18" so that the heat rises to where you're sitting. And have something to rest your feet on, whether its boulders or a stylish Bluestone edge. And open sky above so that you can enjoy stars!
