Fish Hook Camp

The property had a modest existing camp building, close to the water, that was re-skinned and lightly renovated to better integrate it in the family of structures.

The client requested we use ‘life-time’ materials, focused on longevity of the buidling with a vision of passing the property on to the children as they have families and hopefully continue the tradition of gathering at the camp. Thus, the different structures and gathering spaces are deliberately unique but equal.

The garage has an informal living space with an office and guest suite as well as second floor lookout over the tennis court. The center building is the heart of the compound, with primary guest bedrooms, living and dining for large groups. An arbor with a rubber roof ‘bridges’ the gap between the buildings, as protection from weather and a feeling of connectedness.
