A young family wanted a camp that took advantage of the lake views and captured as much light as possible. The structural roof beams and rafters were left exposed to maximize space and the perception of openness. A large screened in porch on the lake side of the house draws the views of the lake into the house. To keep the porch from obscuring the daylight to the downstairs, the southern roof plane was sheathed almost completely in glass panels.
