The design inspiration for this project was to provide the clients with a more open layout, updated finishes, and functional storage solutions to better suit their daily needs in the kitchen and adjoining areas. Existing load bearing walls were reinforced with a new structural beam to open up the kitchen to the living room and allow for more flow from one space to the next. A large island was designed around the existing cooktop complete with open seating to allow for additional seating for the owner’s frequent guests. Sliding pantry pull-outs, tray storage, and custom cabinetry inserts are just a few of the organizational elements that were installed to offer more efficient storage.
