Greystone
This project allowed us to help a homeowner replace some older existing gates with something a bit more modern and fun. The gates frame is 1-3/4” square tubing and features a ¼” flat bar trim panel for the wood infill. Gates are mounted to heavy duty 3” square tube posts via Sure-Close hinges. The hinges are actually hydraulically dampened and powered by a cylinder that is installed within the post.
We incorporated a custom lockbox into each gate. Each one is fully welded and ground to match the radius of the tube frame. Receiving posts are also fabricated, drilled, and tapped to receive off the shelf hardware.
To finish things off, the customer installed the beautiful tongue and groove cedar boards. They are held in place from behind the gate by countersunk screws.
