This is one of our smaller single stringer stairs, but it is probably one of the coolest. Well it’s really not that small from a width standpoint. This stair is 6ft wide! Treads and gussets are made from CNC plasma cut 3/8” hot rolled steel. Sides of treads are capped in 3/8” as well. The joint between the two was fully welded and ground smooth, for a seamless appearance. The wood treads are 5/4 Ipe held in place with countersunk screws in bottom of metal tread. Stringer and post are fixed to underground embed plate.
The handrail is ½” x 1-1/2” flat bar. Each miter is fully welded, ground and polished smooth.
