Guest House

On the grounds of a Tudor estate overlooking the skyline of Boston, we added a freestanding guest house, with a greenhouse and sleeping loft. The house draws its form from the main house, altered to meet the programmatic demands and to allow full advantage of the city views.

Mirrors set into triangulated panels beneath the rise of the stair conceal a storage closet while expanding the sense of the space.

The lines of the guesthouse are a contemporary interpretation of the existing Tudor mansion it accompanies, with a greenhouse and a large windowed living area.
