Sometimes you've got to take it down to build it up. This young, professional couple needed more space to accommodate plans for a family. Because they didn’t want to move from their Vancouver neighbourhood, they worked with an architect to create custom specs that suited the heritage design of their street and met the strict building codes in their area. As part of the custom build, Kingdom Builders took the house down to the foundation, re-framed it and added a second story. We also constructed additional bathrooms, a deck and an expansive kitchen with a skylight that infuses natural light into the entire home. As a result of abiding closely to regulations throughout, our custom build met the City of Vancouver RS-5 District Schedule’s strict standards.
