Modernized Post-and-Beam. This renovation brought new life and inspiration to classic architecture. We stripped and reclaimed some internal beams to bring them back after layers and layers of paint, to showcase the wood in its full glory, and we drywalled over the tongue and groove ceiling, to create clean lines. We also installed gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows, then solved the challenge posed by the heat loss created by much glass: we installed a cost effective, in-floor heating system that uses aluminum panels. We also installed perfectly aligned cabinets to highlight the sharply painted lines, and installed a skylight to let light flood into enclosed rooms.
