This client's challenge was for me to design a user friendly, easy to clean transitional to contemporary kitchen. The husband loved to cook, but has Parkinson's and shakes a lot and makes a mess. The wife wanted a kitchen that could essentially "be hosed down" after he cooks. Lots of counter prep, work and breakfast bar area meant that this was the gathering point in this home for friends and family. The frosted glass mosaic tiles and Corian counter and backsplash allowed enough timelesss, classic "Wow!" and was still easy to clean. The task recessed cannister lights provide plenty of lighting, which reflects beautifully on the crisp, clean white painted cabinets.
