Hickman Basement Remodel

This basement received some new features to enhance the entertainment factor - a new fireplace and wet bar, updated guest room and bath, and a playroom for the grands.

Where the TV sits here, a new stone fireplace was installed, along with all new trim, paint, and carpet.
Living Area Before
This was the door from the storage room to the stairway. This storage area became a playroom, complete with a nook under the stairs.

Guest Bath Before
This is the guest room before the remodel. The closet was switched with the store room access to allow for plumbing the new wet bar.

The floating vanity is the focal point of this bathroom. That, along with the live-edge shelf above the toilet. Both were carried over from the new wet-bar.

The stacked stone fireplace is a new feature in this basement. Also new is the wet-bar, which features a live-edge waterfall countertop.

The bar was constructed with a live-edge hackberry countertop, which was also used for the shelving behind it and in the nearby bathroom.

The sliding doors separate the playroom from the storage area of the basement. The tote storage was added on the left to keep the space organized.

This is the guest room after the remodel. The closet was switched with the store room access to allow for plumbing the new wet bar.

The bar was constructed with a live-edge hackberry countertop, which was also used for the shelving behind it. On the sink side a quartz countertop was used, with a metal backsplash. All the appliances necessary for entertaining were included.
Wet Bar
This looks out of the playroom to the hall at the bottom of the stairs where a shiplap wall greets all visitors. This adds warmth and character you don't get from your typical basement wall.
