This is the space before work began. You can tell the area was well-used and multi-purpose. Our task was to create more storage and to get better function for the homeowners.

An addition was built left of the kitchen area. Both walls you see were lengthened to create a pantry and laundry room behind the right wall, and to move the room toward the camera area.

An addition was built left of the kitchen area. Where before the kitchen seemed small and cramped, now there is plenty of walking space and easy access to the pantry (the door on the left).

There is now storage galore behind all the doors and drawers. The crown on the cabinets and the base trim around the island add a lot of character.

The sink is in the new island, along with the dishwasher. The air switch for the disposal doesn't take away from the beauty of the cabinet. The oak cabinets received a truffle stain and satin finish.

Now small appliances are contained inside their own garages with tuck-away doors.
