Historic Preservation Projects

Some of our many projects which work toward preserving New England's many historic homes.
Isaac Royall House. Our firm completed as-built documentation and a report on the structure's history.
Isaac Royall House
Grist Mill in Townsend. Our firm completed as-built documentation for this structure in preparation to convert it to a living history museum.
Spaulding Grist Mill
Townsend Historical Society building which we completed as-built documentation in preparation for restoration. We are currently working with the organization on needs reports.
Reed House
One room school house in Maine which we documented as part of this museum's ongoing commitment to preservation.

Antique Hall building which was converted into a museum c. 2010.
New Salem Academy Building
Three story Federal style house which was documented in anticipation for preservation work to be carried out in the future.
Stephen Phillips House
Vacant church which is used by the local historical society and presently being evaluated for conservation.
Townsend Harbor Church
Vacant residential structure which we studied for reoccupation. New owners now live in this structure and are slowly restoring it.
Bell House Restoration
Homes which we documented as part of the Melrose Highlands Preservation Plan.

Exterior of the Medford Historical Society. Our firm documented the as-built conditions of this unique Spanish Mission style structure.
Medford Historical Society
This building was slated for demolition when our firm documented the structure. It was then carefully deconstructed and frame recycled into new structures.
Packard Farmhouse
This art gallery is owned by the local museum which had our firm study this structure in anticipation for its conservation. It sits neatly on the water and is located on one of Maine's less traveled back roads.
George A. Marshall Store
This farmhouse has been restored by the National Park Service. Our firm provided a report to add a caretaker wing to the back section of this structure to add to its protection in a low visibility area.
Hartwell Tavern
This tired 1870 building was completely restored by the developers. The units sold in less than two days.
Medford Condos
This farmhouse is slated to be rehabilitated by the local municipality which owns it. it at one time had tenants and with simple work, it will once again be occupied.
Capen Renold Farm
The developers chose to rehabilitate this c. 1880 house into three townhouses. The finished units sold in less than a week.
Medford Condos
This building was restored by the town for conversion into three units of public housing. The plan was developed in part by our firm and another and then executed by others.
