A 16-foot by 18-foot addition on the side of this 1940's Silver Spring house allowed us to create a beautiful and functional kitchen. One side is the working area with the stove and refrigerator. The other side of the L-shaped kitchen has a large double wall oven with a drawer underneath for baking supplies. The room is open to the dining area and adjacent to a new rear entry mudroom that is in place of the original kitchen.
