Lake Nokomis Kitchen
Another one of our project, the Handmade Tile Mural kitchen, was the inspiration for this similar 1940's kitchen just down the block. The homeowner viewed the remodel during a local home tour and realized she had a very similar space.
Inspired by that look, we used that kitchen as our guide. This kitchen had a window that needed removal and the wall was removed between the kitchen and dining room.
We added the arch to mimic other arches in the house and added wood floors to the kitchen. A combination of the painted upper cabinets and alder base cabinets, along with added buffet storage cabinets in the dining room updated the entire area.
A crackled glass tile border highlights the backsplash and the tile medallion.
