Mid-century Modern Kitchen

This was a fun project with a style dear to my heart! I grew up in the 50's and my artist parents loved this Mid-century modern style! The client found me on HOUZZ and lives near me so I could walk to her project! The day I was at the photo shoot both of us kept saying "I love this kitchen!" and at the end I said "I want this to be my next kitchen for myself, the only thing I would change would be to make the tile more colorful and by a handmade tile artist!" There were a great deal of "firsts" that I was able to recommend which makes a designer's heart warm! The "firsts" were: stainless farm sink, grey striated sheet Marmoleum, stainless finger pull hardware, wood butcher block counters in the entire kitchen, white subway tile that is applied stacked, aluminum framed glass cabinets, avacado lift up foil wall cabinets, vintage Mid-century modern yellow globe light ( I had one in the same color in my home as a child!), glass/stainless hood (in another kitchen recently) white painted slab doors, and I got to use my fathers mid-century paintings for the photo shoot which he painted in the 50's!
