The deep orange color of this powder room was selected to complement the kitchen located nearby. The light fixture, tile, color and floating vanity all reflect an updated Mid Century Modern look. The client and I were more excited about the outcome of the shadows from the light fixture than anything!
This home is part of the University Grove neighborhood in the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota. Homes in this area were designed by the univeristy architecture school professors and students over a 50-year time span.
The client had not renovated any of the home since the home was built, so it was my task to remodel the existing bathroom and kitchen. We wanted to retain the Mid Century style in throughout the home.
