This 2600sf residence was constructed in 2008 and was the first LEED certified home in the state of Montana. SIP panels, tight construction, high performance windows and fixtures all contribute to a very cost effective approach to sustainable building. As a demonstration project, the cost of achieving LEED performance added 5.5% to the total construction cost, and has a payback of 13 years or less.
