Los Cerros

Perched on a hilltop with an engineered foundation, the Los Cerros house is an inspiration in modern design by Robert Zachary, featuring clean lines and powerful steel accents.

A Grand Hacienda Award winner with extremely sophisticated infrastructure and redundant mechanical systems, it was both a joy and a challenge to perform the complex steel work on site. Steel, being such a deeply elemental material, is a perfect companion to the traditional sense of earth that is so important to construction in Santa Fe.

As contemporary as this home is, it fits right in with the vernacular and aesthetic of Santa Fe and northern New Mexico. The many and considered finishes both inside and on the exterior create a powerful complement of textures that define space, mood and presence.

With a subtle railway theme at work, the large window walls reveal expansive views. The showcase garage features opaque windows and meticulously epoxied floors.
