Luxury Primary Bathroom
We transformed this primary bathroom into a peaceful spa-like retreat by creating a light and spacious area for the couple to enjoy. This bathroom originally was low lit with an outdated soffit; to give it a contemporary feel, we removed the soffit to open up the space. The shower was initially quite small, but we were able to expand it and install a shower bench by removing the linen closet that shared the wall. These changes allowed for the installation of the spotlight, which created more light.
To make up for the space lost by removing the linen closet, we added cabinetry along the his and hers sinks. Originally there was a dressing area, but this update allowed for more shared storage for the couple. While our designer Luz Del Pozzo was able to get creative with the space, we also used some visual effects to create the illusion of height. The mosaic tile backsplash, installed vertically to create height, was complemented by the vertical light fixtures. We carried this combination of marble and glass tile through to the shower, where we installed it in the niche to bring the design together. The mirrors are actually Robern recessed medicine cabinets with charging stations inside. The bathroom features Brizo fixtures and a Victoria & Albert bathtub.
