Luxury Suburban Custom Home

Chosen from an esteemed cadre of interior design professionals by luxury residential design developer Hope Star, LLC, Deborah Martin Designs formulated a comprehensive design-build concept for property on Long Island's north shore. In collaboration with a team of architects, landscape designers, master craftsmen, contractors and mill workers, Deborah Martin Designs developed two design concepts for this discriminating international client to choose from.

Luxurious design elements and opulent finishes were chosen for the home's three levels and for the freestanding fully-equipped cabana. In addition, two furniture options were presented for every space and included area rugs, lighting and art. Presently under construction, this magnificent home is scheduled for completion during the first quarter of 2016.

A second Powder Room includes a mirror front vanity against dual finish shell inlay wall surfacing tiles which add floor to ceiling interest. The gold finish on the pair of sconces flanking an opulent mirror and on the fixtures imparts understated elegance.

The Study features custom built ins and a coffered ceiling in a masculine color palette of rich brown, black and soft gold. Plantation shutters are the perfect functional window covering and repeat the wood finish of the millwork.

The Guest Bedroom offers every amenity and features bombe nightstands in a robin’s egg blue. The ensuite bathroom is well appointed and features large format wall tiles and a sandstone finish vanity with integrated sink.

Opulent finished in the Master Bedroom include a glass bead inset on the vaulted ceiling and antique mirror front doors on custom millwork flanking the fireplace which provide concealed storage. A spectacular cut crystal chandelier and sconces offer luxurious lighting.

The Master Bathroom features a free standing tub, cut crystal chandelier and sconces and antique glass wall tiles in a powdery blue. White Thassos marble and a circular mosaic floor design are hallmarks of classic elegance.

The Bar Lounge on the home’s lower level includes a custom built-in bar opposite a seating area composed of a sectional for comfortable lounging. The gold finish of the pendants over the bar is repeated in the metal base of the cocktail table and on the bar stools.

The Wine Cellar is an oenophile’s dream space with ample bottle storage, bistro table seating and an architectural light fixture.

A mixed material mosaic runs vertically behind vanity and is repeated in the shower. Neutral finishes result in a space that will appeal to all prospective buyers.

The Cabana Kitchen features base cabinets in a dove grey finish. A polished nickel chandelier adds sophistication, and large format floor tiles contribute to the open feeling of the space.
