Madison Road

The bones of this house were Midcentury Modern, but it had been made "Spanish" sometime in the past. The remodel brought it back to its Midcentury roots by replacing all doors and windows, flooring, kitchen and baths. The house was opened up to the remarkable views.

The kitchen and dining had been separated by a rock wall concealing the refrigerators. The style was "Spanish". The separation was removed and the style made Modern.

Dining Room from the Kitchen

A row of wooden structural posts previously ran down the living room, creating a very awkward space. Those were removed, the ceiling vaulted, and steel posts were added on the left side. The fireplace, previously clad in artificial stone, was tiled with glazed brick.
