Morton Grove Kitchen
As a growing family, these homeowners were looking for a fresh, modern look. However, a complete gut rehab was necessary to bring their dream to reality. There was formerly a wall separating the kitchen from the dining area, isolating the cook from the rest of the group, making this space unideal for entertaining. By knocking down this wall, the space completely opened up and created an inviting and relaxed environment for all. To keep with the open and airy feel of the new space, the homeowners opted for light-colored cabinets and walls, with the exception being the peninsula, made from dark wall cabinets. The peninsula creates a contrast with the cabinets and custom granite countertops while also being able to withstand the wear and tear of the in-kitchen seating. This rehab created a space that will suit the needs of this family for years to come.
