This remodeled swimming pool and spa used to be raised on the slope side, with no spa. We remodeled it by creating a vanishing edge spilling away from the house. The swimming pool is flanked with fire bowls and includes a Baja shelf and raised tiled spa with built-in tiled cocktail table. The shallow Baja shelf area includes a Shower of Diamonds fountain. We replaced the concrete patio with Sweetwater flagstone, and added an outdoor kitchen and custom fireplace. The outdoor kitchen has a tiled backsplash and a cast-in-place concrete countertop with embedded glass chips. The bridge leading from the outdoor living room to the dining room is cast-in-place concrete, stamped and stained to look like wood. The lower seating area is flanked by raised concrete pavers and a shallow pool adjacent to the spillway.
