Multiple Award Winning Condo Kitchen

This kitchen took 1st place in the 2012 NKBA Design Competition in the Small Kitchen category, Best of Before and After in the 2012 NKBA and 1st place in the 2012 HGTV People’s Pick Competition.
Designing a new kitchen in a high rise condominium can be one of the most challenging design projects. This kitchen’s design had to incorporate a building support column (not moveable) and soffits that could not be modified significantly due to HVAC requirements and fire sprinkler locations. The building column is fitted out as an angled wall divider with niches for a t.v. and coffee maker that are convenient to the kitchen, but unseen from the living room. The soffits formed a ceiling recess that, while left in tact, was dressed up with paint, crown molding and cove lighting.
This kitchen features a fully integrated refrigerator, a stacked micro wave, convection oven and warming drawer and a stunning faux stone hood over the induction cooktop. The cabinetry is fully accessorized with a variety of storage aids making use of every last inch of space. The custom copper-foiled mullions on the glass door cabinets echo other copper details other copper details in the kitchen (faucet, hardware, basket-weave apron front sink, etc.). Note the chiseled edges on the Limestone counter tops with stone backsplash incorporating copper tile inserts.
