The entire space has been opened up. Sadly, we don't have before photos, but if you can imagine, that the room dimensions have not changed, but this space is so much bigger.

There was an existing breakfast area where the new one is, only there were no cabinets there. The kitchen was divided by a peninsula separating the breakfast area with the rest of the kitchen. The sink was located in the peninsula looking out towards the window.

This floor plan, has allowed for almost twice the cabinet space and so much more functionality.
