New build on the Lake

This custom contruction project was a blast. My client’s both have very creative careers. The collaboration was quite seamless. We created a beautiful industrial lake friendly environment. The goal was to design an environment that was a user-friendly oasis. A place to escape from the bustle of everyday life. The design of the space is quite intentionally minimal…letting the lake view and surrounding woods become an integral part to the overall design plan. The color palette is neutral with pops of color to draw the eye to the views. The oversized stone fireplace anchors the first floor to further reinforce the organic nod to nature. The floors, and exosed beam ceilings are fabricated from wood harvested from a tobacco barn.

The space turned out to be very signature to who they were as a couple and as individuals.
