This custom designed outdoor living space was built into a steep hill off the side of the home. To break up the tall retaining walls, the design and construction teams at Merrifield Garden Center added a wood-burning fireplace, built-in benches and niches. The veneer on the walls and fireplace matches that on the adjacent house, and the wall caps are Tennessee flagstone. The patio is a custom design constructed of Techo-Bloc pavers.
