Pantry Refresh
This pantry wasn’t working well because it was not set up for the way the family lived day to day. There were some containers in place, but because there were no labels, things didn’t always go back where they should.
I started by getting rid of unused and expired food items. The homeowner was willing to declutter some seldom-used appliances, and we found a better home for others. We rearranged the pantry so things that were used day to day were on lower shelves and items only used occasionally were placed on the upper shelves. We grouped like items together and used the existing baskets to contain them. Originally there were a lot of back-stock items on the floor. We added some new baskets for storing those items to create a more cohesive look, and then placed them on an upper shelf. Lastly, we labeled the baskets so there is no doubt where to find things and where to put them away. Now this pantry is pretty, and it works well for the family!
If you’re ready to organize your pantry, give me a call to schedule a consultation.
